Norihiro MOTOYAMA
pianist
Born
in Goto-Fukue Island,
Japan on 1983, Norihiro Motoyama began
to learn playing the piano when he was 4 years
old. From 1992
to 1999, he studied with Yukiko KAWAGUCHI in
his hometown, Sasebo (Nagasaki
Prefecture). Some time, he also studied with Nobumitsu Fukuda and Akira
Imai. 1999 he entered to
The Music High School attached to The Tokyo National University of Fine
Arts and Music (TOKYO GEIJUTSU DAIGAKU) and Studied with Katsumi
Ueda until his graduation of the University in 2006. In the
University, he also studied the chamber music with Miyoko
Goldberg-Yamane (pianist, wife of great polish violinist Szymon
Goldberg).
Since 2002, he studied in numbers of Masterclasses in Europe. He
studied with Andrzej Jasiński, Bronisława Kawalla, Regina Smendzianka,
Piotr Paleczny, Elly Ameling & Jörg Demus, Victor
Merzhanov, Claudio Martinez-Möhner, François Le Roux
& Anne Le Bozec, Walter Moore, François-René Duchâble, Susan
Manoff, Izabele Garcisanz etc. in them masterclass or private
lessons. In 2007, he
had a important
chance of meeting with Aldo Ciccolini in his masterclass in Italy,
since then he study with Aldo Ciccolini regulary in personal lesson
and in masterclass. Moved
to Paris in 2008, and from 2008 to 2012, he studied with France
Clidat and her assistant Paul Blacher in Ecole Normale de Musique
de Paris -Alfred
Cortot (as a
recipient of a scholership of Zygmunt Zaleski
Foundation 2009-2012). While in the class of France Clidat, he
achieved The Diplôme d'Execution de Piano unanimously with congratulations
of jury in 2009, The Diplôme Supérieur d'Enseignement de Piano
unanimously of jury in 2010, The
Diplôme Supérieur d'Execution de Piano unanimously with congratulations
of jury in 2011, then The Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste de Piano
unanimously of jury (Olivier Gardon, Éric Heidsieck, David Lively, Cecile Ousset)
in 2012.
He continued to
study with Paul Blacher in the
"Classe de
Perfectionnement" of Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris - Alfred Cortot until
2015, and personally with Aldo Ciccolini until
2013.
Since April 2016, Norihiro MOTOYAMA is
Part-time Lecturer of Piano at The Tokyo University of
the Arts.
He is prize winner of
several competitions, include 1st gold prize and concerto prize of the 4th
International Chopin Piano Competition in ASIA 2003, 3rd prize winner of The 12th Tokyo
Music Competition. He have played with plenty of
orchestras (Capella Cracoviensis, Fukuoka Chamber Ensemble, Sasebo Civic Orchestra,
Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, The Kyushu Symphony Orchestra,
Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Arkas "Kilatto" Orchestra, Ensemble Instrumental des
Cévennes...etc.). Not only as a soloist but also as a chamber music
player, he gain the confidence of every artists with whom
he has worked. He has performed across Japan, China, Austria, Poland,
Italy, France and Spain. Norihiro MOTOYAMA is a
part-time lecturer of The Tokyo University of Arts since April 2016.
